Hi, I need assign a static IP address to an E2T card in a 3300 MXerunning MCD 4. It has got an address from the internal DHCP server but this neEds to be turned off.
The Technicians Hand Book explains about connecting via secure telnet to the controller IP address on port 2007 which I can do but it doesn't say how to assign it an address.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Joe

Once you log into the Mitel thru the secure telnet you have to use the command bootChange ( note the Capial C ) and Make your static changes to the E2T and make sure your flags are set to 0X0 ( Static ) 0X40 is DHCP. I believe you will have to reset the E2T for changes to be made. So schedule this when ther eis low traffic.

All sorted now although it did take a call to mitel support. Through all the documentation and research I did not one thing mentioned the bootChange command.
Thanks for the reply.
