Do you have a "Room Status" button? NOT a "Status" button, a "Room Status" button.

Yes, I do have the room status button. When I press Room status, it ask me for the EXT-NUMBER. I put the Room number and "0000 UNITS" start blinking. Then it doesn't allow me to do anything.
Thanks for the reply!!

The system needs to be programmed for ARS, which allows you to selectively set rooms to the desired settings (i.e. LD, Local, Internal). If that wasn't done initially, you can't pick and choose rooms for LD/local access only.

It used to work before with the room stat and ALLOW. But, now it doesn't. Do I need to have a technician program the system to ARS or Can I change the settings by myself? Thank you for the replay

FIRST you need to determine WHY it changed! Try changing some other rooms. Maybe that room has a different COS or COR. Has there been some work done on the system lately?
Changing the 0000 to 9999 will block All outbound calls.

Try dialing *81 enter room # & see if you get options like occp/allow1 allow2 allow 3 if so set a room to allow 1,2,3 make test calls to see which allow blocks long distance

Thank you very much for your help. Really appreciate it!
Mr. Lightninghorse, How can I change from 0000 to 9999?
Mr. Icom: when i dial *81, it asks me for ROOM STATUS EXT-? When I enter the room number it tells me invalid.
Is there any other way to block the long distance? Thank you very much

To change to 9999, dial *22, EXT Number, 9. To reset to 0000 dial *22, EXT Number, 0.
See "Message Registration" in your manual. Have you checked other rooms to see if they work? It would seem that your room status was not set up correctly.
