Two things (1) Does anyone know the default password for the small buscom system that looks like a onyx vs? I don't have the ver. at the moment. and (2) is there a feature that allows a user to call in thru the voice mail after hrs and make a page thru the phone speakers?
thanks, dave

It almost has to be a DS if it's not a Onyx VS. As far as calling in and doing a page over the speakers you can't, and you should be able to program from Station 300 or any other set programmed with access level 04. But station 300 is level 05 and can not be changed so you can always program from it.
The newer DS1000/2000 with the Vangard Voice Mail will do Park and Page.

The DS1000/2000 with the Vanguard VM is an incredible system. I wish this was around before I got hooked on 'shiba and that crappy flash vm.
This system installs and setups so easy, I didnt think Nitsuko (TIE) had it in them. But I still like the Black & White Ultracom's the best....not the CX

If you have some extra ports open on the machine, you may be able to loop around a single line port to a co port. I am pretty sure you can do this but I don't have a manual to confirm this.
Set up a single line port to be wired into a co line. Don't forget to create the extension in voice mail for the transfer. Make the co line a DISA port access. Once you put the DISA pass code in, you should get intercom tone and be able to dial the page code.
Once again, I don't have a manual in front of me so I can't confirm this. In theory it should work. I have this scenario working on a Vodavi system.
Also, depending on the voice mail, you could do the Park and Page. This can work if you can program the voice mail.

For single lines on the DS or Onyx you need to have a ASI(Analog Station Interface)unit, and there is no way to loop to a co line.
