I have converted to a single T-1 card set to receive timing from the network. DO I have to install a services card for sync and what are the programming steps if it is necessary

Yes you have to install a service card for clocking,no programming is needed just install it in slot 2.are you using the built in CSU or you using outside CSU,if you using the internal one make sure its turn on,if not you can loose calls and sync.

BY the way is this the same system you having a problem with call park and dropping calls,if its what is the s/w version ,there were alot of issues like what you descriping in the early version of 3.0 and 4.o

Thanks I will install it tomorrow, If there are troubles with the software, Should'nt Nortel provide a free SW update ??

Nortel was providing free s/w at the time,not now,do you know the revision for your S/W.

Yes the system is MICS 3.04

What exactely is the s/w version under maint.because there is no 3.04,it could be either mef01,or mef02 or mef11 and that the enhanced one without problem in rel 3.
but if you Have XC it will be md or mc instead of me .but still the number and f11 is the good one in that release.
I don't think that you have any problem in programming its a s/w problem.sorry for the bad news.

Thanks for the help , I got the system working correctly now, with the exception of Caller I.d. We had the XC 30mdF01 sw version

That was a bad s/w ,but did you replace it or what,if you did what is the new one.
caller ID problem explain with more details so we can help if we can.
