CICS 6.1FC. Up and running with several glitches. 1. No OLI going out, in fact it gives the ANI of an old fax line we once had. Have OLIs set and bus name. 2. Will not accept metro numbers. Local and LD OK, but metro tries to use only first seven digits. 3. No second dial tone on dialling 9. Any ideas ?

Did you mean MCIS? OLI & name will only pass if carrier allows it so check with them first. Build you metro number under Public Dialing Plan to tell it how many Digits to look for. Not sure if 6.1 had second dial tone.

I have seen it many many times. Put a business name in the prompt and your PRI will not work. Remove the name. PRI's usually do not give you a dial tone. You are using Routing and Destination Codes?? Remove any Line Pool access Codes and External Codes.

Yes its MICS 6.1FC. Thank you JimmyT, the no prefix default was set to 7 digits. Removed the business name, but it did not help. I have seen the right OLI go out once or twice. Also think I once had DT, but not sure. The ANI going out from the beginning, before any OLIs were entered was a number on the previous channel bank ! And still goes out. External code is gone. Have to have two Line Pool codes for other tenants on system. Using 9 for PRi and 80,81 for tenants.

Not all carriers will accept the OLI number provided by the customer. Have you verified with the carrier?
2nd DT was added on to the 6.1 Maintenance Release. Do you have the MR software? If so, the programming is under Services, Routing Service, 2nd dial tone.
Good luck!

You should not be using any Line Pool Codes. You should be putting the 80 and 81 in the Destination table and using Routing to make them go out the trunks that you want. Hopefully that is what you did (even though you said line pool codes)

My tenants using line pool codes 81 and 82 are on copper lines. I have to route them also ? This is part of my OLI problem ? I also cannot see the OLI as called # prompt, after the OLI is entered. Where did it go to ?. No I don't have the maint release.
