You should have your PRI in line pool PRI-A. You should NOT have any digits in any of the line pool codes and NOT have any digits is Extrnl Code. You should have in ROUTING, a destination code (example: 9 ) that uses route 1. Then Route 1 should be set up to use PRI-A. I think you may have all of the above if from a phone you can dial out. Now in your Call Pilot it should be set for External, and USE ROUTE. Then in your COS for that mail box is the Class of Service set for Enable Outbound Transfer?

When I select "Route" under CCR Transfer Node Properties, and try to enter Route "1" or "001", I get a pop-up error message which reads: "The line/pool number cannot be specified unless a line or pool is being used"

Enable Outbound Transfer would prevent the CallPilot from dialing out regardless of route, pool or line, no? It will dial out using "line". I believe the "Enable Outbound Transfer" feature under COS is for mailboxes. I'm attempting to get the call going outbound directly from the CCR...no mailboxes involved.

When you select ROUTE, you leave the # field blank. When you dial the number the route is selected by the number you dial - i.e. 9 Nothing should be entered into the EXTERNAL prompt in ACCESS CODE-EXTRNL CODE: Ok - you are not using MB so don't worry about the COS.
That is all you need. You are getting that error message because you ARE trying to put a number in the # field when you have selected ROUTE. You don't put a number in there.
Re-read your error: I get a pop-up error message which reads: "The line/pool number cannot be specified unless a line or pool is being used"
It is saying that the line/pool number is only entered when using a line or pool. You are using ROUTE.

Damn...you are one smart Nortel dude...that worked. Who would've known? The blank is sitting there staring you in the face. You have to assume something would/should be entered.
Thank you very much!

Yeah - You would think they could gray out the box unless you need to enter something. You see a box - there must be something that goes in there. And Nortel says, "Ha HA - Gotcha! "
