If you look at the power specs on the bad power supply and look at a new one you will see that the power output is different. i think the old ones would run to hot and just burn out.

The proper power supply for Call Pilot is 8v.
The rating is 1.2 - 1.7a

I am also experiencing issues getting my CallPilot 100 working. I have the 8V adapter already, description off the back:
AC/DC Adapter
Input: AC100-240V 50/60Hz
Output: 8V/1.7A

The phone lines are properly wired and I have gone through the config multiple times trying to find an error but have had no luck. When attempting to initialize through a web browser the connection times out and when trying with a phone the feature buttons do not work. Neither of the lines on the CallPilot light up so I am unsure if it is a problem with the CallPilot or just a bad power supply.
If it does happen to be the power supply does anyone know a good place to get a replacement in the Ottawa area?

If you power up the system does those lights lights up and then goes through Initialization? If answer is yes, make sure the phone is working on VM's ports.

If I power it up the TCM lights turn on for a bit, the operating light also turns on for a bit but shortly after the TCM lights go dim and the operating light also goes out. Currently the only thing lit up on it is the 10/100 light and the Ethernet light.

NTlayoff is right. The old 9v supplies would eventually burn out the cp's.

Oddly enough, it was a Nortel design error, so we can't blame it on China this time.

They offered free replacement for a while, but now you've got to buy the newer 8v.

Just some food for thought...The last CP 100's that I have installed have had bad PCM-CIA adapters!! causing the CP to drop ALL of it's memory after install including the pre-installed software from the Mfgr.
