We have a residential customer that currently has a 616 with 7100 display phones. He might upgrade to a tda50 mainly to have CID but he will keep his current phones (I know, 2nd power supply with more than four of 'em).

Has anyone used these phones on a tda50 w/ CID?
Does the display have enough room to show two lines of CID?

I'm sure your phone is only a 1 line LCD, and will show only the number, but you can toggle to name

There is only one line of display on the 7100 phone,you can toggle to the name like johnz said, and using the info button like countywide said but there is no flexi buttons on the 7100 phones so you use the transfer button while the phone is ringing. you can set the incoming call to display name first in main programming extension settings or when you press the transfer button the phone will display on the rest of the calls to that extension name or number depends on what was last looked at before answering.

That's right,pressing the transfer button is the equivelant of pressing INFO on older model phones, so he would press that to scroll, thanks.

But I don't think I can control what is sent first, name or number, I thought that TELCO controls that.

If you put the names and numbers in to main speed dial list it will get name from that
