How do I reset this recently added Avanti 3015 phone. I have tried holding down the # while plugging in the phone "Clear DN" appears but then the "Perform Reset" message returns. The system has been programmed and the port assigned for this type of phone. I also read that typing the extension and then # (example 430#) or keying the port number then # may reset the phone ... both do nothing. This is not an IP phone.

You can't DN the Avanti phones. All you should have to do is plug the phone in. Don't do anything else. What your Saying in the above posted is for a diffrent type of telrad phone. Is it saying on the display of the Avanti 3015 phone perform reset after it has initialitionzals (Sorry can't Spell). Than try resetting the whole system by turn the power off for ten seconds then turning it back on. You can try resetting that ULD card but I don't think that will work.

I tried the power down ... let it set for a minute then powered back up. Received the same "Perform Reset" message ... unplugged the phone... plugged the 3015 display phone back in .. it initializes then says DN=430 .. then "perform Reset". I then flipped the 2 wires that connect the port and the physical wall outlet on the punch blocks(not even sure if this makes any difference)same result... I tried a completely different phone .. same result. Any ideas

Try this phone on a known working port. Are you using eManager to program the system?

I would reset the phone system, after hours of course. If you don't want to do that, then you need to put the phone on a different port on that card, by moving it in programming with the F4 function, and punch the cross-connect to that port as well. Everytime I ran into that error, we had to perform a "system reset" to clear.
might make sure you are not running v7.36 as your system ver. if so, get with ssphone about an inexpensive upgrade. I have heard of a lot of problems with that particular ver.
Also, if you are using eManager to program, you may want to make sure you have the latest version of the eManager program on your pc. I think it is up to 3.0.0.2x or something.

A reset should have worked. I've had this problem myself. But if it still doesn't work, I would try reprograming the set on the same port. If that doesn't work deleted again and try it on another avaible port. Also try the telephone set right at the MDF and see if you still have the same problem. Also do what ss phones said and telemanic.
