Yes, place the phantom DN on the owner's phone. And yes, the display will show that the phantom is call forwarded. However, if the PDN is call forwarded to voicemail then the display will show that too. If possible, use a break room phone, or non-display phones to put the PhDNs on. You can assign up to 8 PhDNs to one owner.

Phonemeister - Does the Key Voice use the 656 and 657 codes the same as the Stratagy?

That makes sense to me.
I think I can answer the question about Keyvoice and 656/657. Both are part of the Keyvoice integration notes. I used both of them in my setup. The nice thing is that I can translate whatever these two programs are sending to voicemail, using the trans.txt file in voicemail. I also found that the PhDNs were automatically sending voicemail their DN as their ID, without me having to program 656/657 on the PhDNs.

Cool! Sounds like the Key Voice and Stratagy are of the same species!

A couple questions on using the phantom DNs for voicemail transfers...
Is there a way to call forward DNs without going to each individual phone. For example, is there a way to set forwarding using the attendant phone (not on port 01 here), or port 01, or port 05?
I tried changing numbering on PhDNs using *04. I changed, for example, 513 to 5213, to go with extension 213. That worked fine. However, when I try and call 5213 from a phone, or transfer to 5213 from a phone, it only accepts the first 3 digits. What am I doiung wrong here. The system otherwise has 3 digit extensions, but following the suggestion above, I would be mixing 3 digit pDNs with 4 digit PhDNs.

1. No, you cannot remote call forward a DN on a DK 2. You're forgetting to delete or change phantom 521 before assigning 5213. i.e. you cannot overlap DNs even though program *04 let's you do it.

Thanks. I figured it was probably a numbering conflict. Strange that it allows a conflict to be programmed.
On the remote access to forwarding, I thought I read somewhere about the attendant having the ability to control forwarding on other stations. Is that exclusively referring to overriding a station's forwarding?
Newly discovered problem: all extensions can call 5xx and transfer to 5xx except the receptionist. Any idea what might be preventing this?
Thanks for all the help. What a learning experience!

Depending on having an I/O card and software level you can use DKAdmin to program the CFWD and System Speed dials by PC or Laptop. Also your 656/657 coding.

Originally posted by 5years&counting: Newly discovered problem: all extensions can call 5xx and transfer to 5xx except the receptionist. Any idea what might be preventing this? I think I found my answer today. In program 10-2, LED 02. When I disabled this, it allowed the attendant stations to call forwarded numbers. Apparently, this feature was also preventing her from sending more than one call to voicemail at a time. If she sent one, then right away sent another, she got a busy. Once disabled, this problem and the problem calling/transferring to 5xx went away. On another note, I was actually able to copy a theme from Comdial translation file in voicemail and modify it to allow people who press a lit MSG button to go straight to playing new messages, without requiring additional steps. They liked that.
