yes I have in the extension box of a mailbox I just put @f--9xxx-xxxxx----H and of crouse this was using centrex lines. @ = not using mailbox as normal f=flash 9 to get dial tone xxx-xxxxx=cell number H = disconnect --- = pauses

So I guess you made a mailbox for the "cell phone" routing? (Press 1 to reach Joes Cell Phone)

How did you determine the number of disconnect pauses?

I guess I don't understand the disconnect sequence - the caller presses x and then the system grabs a CO line and externally transfers the call on another CO line to the cell phone. So effectivley we have 2 CO lines in use.

At what point does the disconnect "string" come into play - obviously we don't want the call disconnected until the call is over so does the DK VM monitor the line and then apply the disconnect?

The disconnect string in the vm extension is for the Voicemail to hangup and transfer the call, not for the DK to hangup. And yes, you use 2 lines.

Do you have a DK or CTX/CIX? They don't use the same rules.

tmerier, that string is to be utilized for Centrex line transfers. It will in fact "Flash" the line to get new dialtone and dial the number then disconnect from the DK, ie....doing a Centrex transfer.
Best if Centrex is used, there will be a sizable drop in volume when the two non-centrex co lines are conferenced together and connected to the cellphone.
