Currently I have customer with a antique SPD1428 with a Starplus Dispatch (Analog Intergration). Can the system or voicemail transfer a caller live to an answering service? The auto attendant answers after hours.
Your input would be appreciated.

Yes it can. You transfer to a phone that is forwarded off net to a speed dial number.

Derrick's answer is by far the easiest for an end user to accomplish. Should you need a method that does not use another extension, your vendor can create a command file to use Central Office Flash Transfer if you have that CO feature.
