We have a Vodavi XTSc-IP System and all of our handsets are 3015-71 units. They work great and we like them a lot. Recently I had the opportunity to get a 3016-71 phone for only a few dollars, but I don't know how to program it. I am very new to this.

I searched the site to see if I could find out how to program the phone system to test it, but I couldn't find anything that lead me in the right direction. I want to be able to easily program the system so I can switch users between phone types as necessary.

I'm not asking for someone to give me all of the exact instructions; I don't mind doing the proper research/testing, etc. I was hoping to get some assistance with links or direction on where to look so I can learn how to perform these tasks. Any help is greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

If you plug that phone into a port that has a different phone it will erase the programming on that port and reset it to default. You DO NOT want to move different phone types around. Decide where you wish to put the phone and have your local vendor program it.

The user's guide. The system level programming for the station port normally shouldn't change.

Most vendors will be happy to show you how it's all done so you can much more easily do it yourself next time.

Ok, this was pretty easy to complete.

Please don't post step by step installer/system level programming in the open forums.
