Loaded question I know. We're looking at 4 different phone systems from 4 different vendors:

Nortel BM400
NEC Aspire
NEC IPK II
Toshiba CIX 670

Small business -- 25 employees with possible expansion to maybe 40 in the next five years.

All of these systems seem to do more than what we need although I sort of like the all-in-one features of the Aspire. Does anyone have any strong thoughts about the pros & cons of the above systems?

Thanks!

All are nice systems. I would make sure you demo each system & see how it looks/feels. I'm not sure what you mean when you say 'all-in-one' features. I think all of the above systems have inskin VM.

Nice systems but the best question you could ask would be to your neighbors. Check on each of the 4 vendors the quality of installation, programming and maintenance will effect you more then the system brand. After that you need to know what features are important to you then growth and does it fit the budget.

Check your vendor. Get demos. Check references. All those systems are good.

For a small business like yours, I think the CTX670 is overkill, ask about the CTX100 instead.

Thanks all. All the vendors have pretty good reps so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

IPK II and the Aspire use the same software and features. I tip my hat towards the IPK, the dterm phones are better quality by far.
