I have a PS111 wireless phone for our NEAX2000 system that has a Message wait indicator and I cannot get rid of it. Removing the battery from the phone removes the MW indicator for a short period of time, but it returns. This phone has no VM mail box and is not linked back to the dterm line. I have downloaded the PS111 user manual and could not resolve this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the PS111, but are you sure it is the message waiting indicator, or could it be the New Caller ID indicator? Does the PS111 support caller ID? If so, try going through the caller ID records, then see if the light turns off.

All indications and the manual say that it is either the Message Wait indicator or Short Text Message indicator - it is the unopened envelope. There are no voice mail messages or text messages, but I cannot make to indicator go away and stay away. Is there a way to disable this in the NEC2000 system? I have found in the Nec2000 WCS manual how to enable this, but nothing is mentioned about disabling the message wait indicator.
