Hello,

Using Neax 2000 IVS, AD-40

Having a problem; Forward Calls to an external #

The PBX is set to CFNA to external #.
When dialing the ext from another ext CFNA to external# works.

But when calling in after AD-40 answers then dialing the ext it does not Forward the call to external # it just keeps ringing.

How to resolve?

Thank you.

I think I am having the same probably as you are. I have NEAX 2000 system and AD-64. I have an executive who wants his desk phone to ring at his desk and if no answer he wants it to go to his Blackberry. If I set it for "call forward all calls" then it goes to blackberry and then to his blackberry voicemail. If I set it for "call for no answer" then it rings at his desk 4 times, then goes to blackberry which rings 4 times and then stops ringing on his end but to the caller it just rings and rings and rings and never goes to voicemail on the Blackbery. It's the like Blackberry voicemail won't take a call that has been rung at his desk and then forwarded. It will only take a call that is forwarded without ringing at his desk. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm using E600 for "forward all" and E602 "forward no answer" in the MOC programming screen.
Thanks.

You are going to need to build a virtual extension number and forward all calls to the blackberry number.

Set the extension to cfna to the virtual number, see if that works.

I had the same issue and fixed it this way.

I tried it and it didn't work. I set my extension (1571) to "forward if no answer" to a virtual extension (1665). I set up the virtual extension to "forward all calls" to 7035898. My blackberry rings 4 times and says 1 missed call but it never goes into blackberry voicemail. It just rings forever. Do you have any other suggestions?

Very strange, probably nothing to do with the PBX. Try another cell provider/phone type.

Just a follow up on this - I tried 3 different cell phone providers and none worked. What happens is a call comes in to my desk, rings 4 times, then forwards to cell phone. If no answer on the cell phone it just goes to outer space. I tried with Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint cell phones. I had the NEC vendor come in for 4 hours and he couldn't figure it out either. It appears that the PBX forwards the call and the cell providers don't recognize it as a legitimate call so it can't go to voicemail. BUT, if I do a CALL FORWARD ALL CALLS then when the PBX forwards the call, the cell phone voicemail will take the call. Very strange.

I have the same problems with Ad-64. Only "all calls" works. RNA is not going. I am gonna call Active Voice. If they find a problem I'll let you know. I have a fillings that even its set up for "Release" it still supervising that call for NA. Only true "Release" comes with CFA.
