Rickman's suggestion will work as long as the access codes haven't been changed. We change many of ours to prevent accidental changes.

Thanks for that suggestion Rickman, I feel like it will work for our situation too, but I can't figure out which phone to put the code in at!

We have 12 digital phones, all on the NEC Elite IPK system. We have 5 lines, with one being our main telephone number that we advertise. We recently relocated and combined with our other office and because of billing issues with Nuvox, were forced to keep their telephone numbers separate. But when the technician came to hook the phones up, he worked it where we could transfer calls back and forth with the "new office". They have two digital phones as well as two lines and two extensions.

Since the main office is going on an offsite meeting, I'd like for our calls to be forwarded to the "new" office. All the codes I find are accepted by the system, but none of them actually forward the call over. Any chance you could point me in the right direction?

Why not use Nuvox call forwarding. You should be able to log onto their portal, setup your account and call forward using the internet.

We can, just trying to avoid the $7.00 a month charge if possible. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Contact your Nuvox agent, there might not be a monthly charge if you use their portal to set call forwarding, can't hurt to ask.

Dans is Right, also if you use off site call forward from your System it will not disable your rotary line group. you'll only be able to fwd two line,s. if the other office only has two,The Customer will get open Ring. You might want to consider getting Voice Mail on Your System.

There are several ways to re-route calls to your main phone number.

One way, and by far the easiest, is to have the 'call forward variable' feature added to your main line by your dial tone provider. Then you can forward all calls by accessing the main line; dialing the activation feature code; and dialing the destination phone number.

The NEC Elite IPK system does support automatic trunk to trunk transfer; however that will require some programming best done by an experienced NEC technician.

Or all trunks could be DIT'd to a virtual [CAR] key and then set call forwarding for that CAR key to the destination telephone number.
