I have an IVS2 that is going to be replaced by an 8100 here in a few weeks.

The existing IVS has 8 analog ports that go to a fax server.

In the IVS I just setup a second voicemail hunt group, programmed 60 virtual ext's and have them cfd all call to the fax hunt pilot. The calls ring into the analog ports on the fax server, PBX repeats the ext number of the virtual the call came in on and that is the fax box the message is left in. Works flawlessly.

So, I have looked this over and this is what I want to do on the 8100:

Build a department group with a pilot number.
Build 60 virtual ext's and route my did's to those ext's.
Have those ext's cfd all to my 8 analog ext's connected to my fax server (they would cfd to my Dept group pilot).

Here's where I'm not so sure....

Set 15-03-03 for my fax server analog ports to SPECIAL

Set 15-03-16 for my fax server analog ports to YES

I think that's all I have to do. Anyone done this before that can offer any insight?

Thanks

D

From the manual it looks like they should both be set to 1

15-03-03 looks like either 0 or 1 should work because the fax doesn't send DTMF after the call is set up

but

15-03-16 says determines whether or not to send ext number WHEN 15-03-03 is set to 1 ~so~ it looks like it requires 15-03-03 to be set to 1 for 15-03-16 to matter.

Just set up your department group like integrating a UM8000 & fwd all your DID's to the pilot number.
