Hi everybody.

We got recently the new telephone system and i'm not 100% familiar with all functions. I hope you can help me out.

We are about to get new staff for the office. Therefore I we have to provide two new extensions for them.

We do have 4 ports left and I thought it won't be a problem to add new phones. After checking 15-01: Extension Basic Setut, it turned out that these free ports are SLT and not MLT.

We're using NEC DT300 Series phones and they won't work with SLT.

Is there a way to make changes on the logical port?
If I change it in 10-03 "DLCA/CNF/IVR" and press apply, the terminal type jumps automatically back to "not set"

I hope it makes sense to you guys

From your post, you might want to call your vendor in to get your system the required digital ports for those phones.

I have to agree. You'll need to add hardware and possibly licenses, and that's going to need a dealer.

We got an upgrade with a few more digital ports i our office.

but it seems that we can only use it internally.

as soon i try to make an external call (after entering 2-3 digits of the phone number) it just stops and i cannot dial anymore.

checked 15-xx and other options but i can't figure out what the problem is.

does anybody have a suggestion?

Thank you

Sounds like it's restricted OR is not mapped to the proper trunk groups to make an outside call. If your vendor did that I would have them fix it, otherwise you may spend a ton of time tinkering to figure it out.

You probably do not have CO lines or CAP keys programmed on the new phones.

What Coral said...call your vendor who set these new extensions up make & sure they work before you let him go. The work should have been checked by both of you.

Thanks for your suggestions guys. Tried to figure out what the problem is, but i don't have the time to get so deep into detail.

Will call our vendor to fix it.

Thank you
