I'm trying to connect to the voice mail with the serial port. Using 9600 8N1 and don't get any response, just garbage. Tried CTRL-L, etc. No change. Also tried 2nd laptop, also with HyperTerm. No Luck.
Am I missing something ?
Thanks

Are you using a straight through cable or a null modem cable? I think you are supposed to use the straight through cable. I always get confused so I jsut bring both. But I am pretty sure is the straight through cable that you are supposed to be using.

Straight thru. But I tried both. I just noticed from the SVM1-8 install doc that the default serial rate is 38400. Could it be for the SVMi-4 also ?
