I have a DCS 400si and recently implemented a PRI. Voice is working well but fax machines attached to an SLI card are failing during send and receive operations. The fax initally syncs to the remote fax and starts to transmit or receive, but shortly thereafter it fails and disconnects. No nore than 1/2 a page gets transmitted or received before this happens.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Have the PRI checked for slips or framing losses. they sometimes cannot be detected while on the phone but drive fax machines crazy with the same symptons as you discribed .

I had the carrier here yesterday with their T-berd and no errors were detected. Is their a specific test they should run?
Thanks again!

Was the tech a telco person or your samsung vendor ? You have a clocking issue on the PRI . If it was not your samsung vendor then that is who you need to contact .

What happens if you put a phone on the same analog port? Can you answer the call? Does it disconnect? Also When I have done Fax over PRI I usually set up the analog ports for CO type ring, and make them vmaa type. Then you can go into mmc 726 and play around with the settings to tweak it further. Just a thought. Not sure on the 400si but I've done many PRI faxes on the 100 and 500 without a problem.

Did you send and receive faxes on a specific channel so the T-berd guy could monitor? This is what I would do.
For sending you can dial 7xx and pick the channel before you dial the number.
If the T-berd guy can identify a problem, then try to do as benb suggests in changing setting while he is there and see what the result is, better or worse and either it works OK or you change things again.
I am with benb, the equipment works well because it is mostly made by robots and something like this should absolutely be able to be resolved.

I agree with OBTW on the slips. If this is the case anyone using a dial-up modem/PC on an SLI port will get knocked-off as well.
