I recently installed an expansion cabinet.
I have a strange problem.
I had 2 DCS7 extensions in the main cabinet, that were used at the front and rear entrance locations to allow visitors to dial internally.
They were on the card in slot 6 @ x's 230 and 231.
(extension 232 was the last phone on the card, and it's a DCS24D that works fine).
When the extensions were shifted to the expansion cabinet, the DCS7 phones stopped working.
I can plug a DCS24D in instead of the DCS7, and it works fine.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What do you mean by shift MMC724?

I can plug a DCS24D in instead of the DCS7, and it works fine.
Is the 7 button completely dead or is it that the buttons dont work?

Did you do an mmc806 when you moved the DLI card?

In mmc 722 for those 7 button sets ,does it show them as 7 button sets as far as programming the keys? And yes what RCA said, what do the 7 button sets do when they are connected? Can you call them from another extension or do you get a plug out indication?

Yes I did do mmc806 when I moved the card.
When you pick up the phone, there is no dial tone.
However, when you press the buttons they do beep.
If I call the phone from another extension,it will ring, but when you pick it up, it continues to ring.
Thanks

So when you have a 7 button set installed on those ports what does mmc 722 look like for those extensions?

I'm going back to the site on Tuesday.
I'll check then.
If I remember correctly, when I checked mmc 722,the 1st and 2nd keys were programmed as Call 1.
As I said before, the phone will ring, but when you pick it up,it continues to ring.
I tried pressing all the buttons, but each button would just beep.
I was unable to answer the call.
All functions of the 24D work properly when plugged into the same port.
Thanks again for all of your help.
