i am trying to upgrade a os7200 frm 2.67 to 2.69. i dont have a spare smart media card so i am doing it using my laptop as the spare media card. i have been to an ftp web page that i have downloaded what was supposed to be the s/w. however when i interrogate the smart media card and try to load the files onto it, the file types dont match what the media card is looking for therefore i am not able to laod them onto the smart media card. does anyone know a website where i can download the software? i am visiting (samsung ftp site) and downloading the OS7200_2.69 as advised but these dont seem right to me as i had no probs with the PRI software i downloaded and placed onto the media card??? long question i know, im sorry but ive wasted a day trying to work this thing out and i dont have the most exposure to this system! its extremely frustrating! cheers, thanks for any help in advance

PM sent. I'm not sure if there are any differences in how the software is upgraded on the Europe systems though in the US I use a smart media card reader to copy the files to the card. They may have changed the file type on the newer versions so I wouldn't be surprised if they look any different. Did the software come with intructions for the upgrade? On some upgrades the main program needs to be deleted before the new main program can be copied. I'd check the instructions, you may be missing a step.

You don't need a FTP program. OSM can do it. Get the new upgrade files on your PC log into the system and remove the files on the smart media then upload the new. be sure to verify the files by date code when your finished. I like to power off the system and verify that it will load while I'm there. I would also have the old 2.xx files on the pc just in case you need to go back for some reason.
