Hello,
I'm new so please bare with me...I have read many posts regarding the issue I'm about to describe and none of the solutions provided have worked.
The system I am working with is a Samsung OS-7100 (10.05.03 V4.46d)with embedded 4 port voicemail.
I confirmed that I have the correct SMTP IP address and port number and I can verify my settings by setting up an account in Microsoft Outlook 2010.....
Using the same settings on the Samsung generates this error:NOTICE - MIME Message 000000B1, Time: 33.33s, Voice Size: 278796, Fax Size: 0
WARNING - SMTP Authentication Failed with Server 72.14.213.109:25, LOGIN not supported
NOTICE - SMTP Message 000000B1, Time: 0.39s, Retry after 60s
I tried using the DNS and that generates the following error:ERROR - Tue Dec 7 16:27:16 2010
address is not valid.
NOTICE - Tue Dec 7 16:27:16 2010
SMTP Message 0000005C, Time: 2.03s, Retry after 60s
The IP address shown above is gmail.com but regardless of which incoming/outgoing mail server i choose i get the same results.
I cannot find any settings in the Samsung that allows me to set encryption to "TLS" or "SSL" as per the following Samsung error message:Server 72.14.213.109 Response '530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. e14sm410737wfg.8

......any help would be GREATLY Appreciated.
Is there a mail sever out there that someone can confirm works so I can test it....I tried at home but TELUS blocks port 25.....!
