Sorry for the question that is probably VERY simple, but I've searched and studied the copy of the manual I have... I find nothing.

I just want to figure out how to make all the phones ring when an outside line is dialed. Right now station 100 is the only one that rings.

Thanks, and sorry if this is a really dumb question smile

Which manual do you have?

This is an installer function and would not be in the admin manual.

Line programming is under function 2 if you have access to installer programming. It is simple if you've been trained on the system but be careful if you are not familiar with line programming as you could screw it up royally.

I don't have the installer manual, or function 2 access as far as I can tell.

Can you link me to the installer manual?

Thanks very much for your time.

There are 7 blue boxes on the top of this page.. the center one offers manuals.

If you don't have access to function 2 then you need to call in the installer..... this is not programming that someone who doesn't know what they are doing should be involved in.

What part of the Westcoast are you in. Did your installer leave you with the installer password? If your still on good terms with your vendor call them. If not for whatever reason call ESI and they can locate another. ESI I will still call the sold to installer to make sure all is fine and dandy. Which IMO sucks because sone customers just don't like the vendor they chose. Hey, at least it's not a higher end system or you would be paying higher end prices for a service call.

They only call to make sure the vendor isn't owed money ... i have had a couple of times that customers who owed me money called ESI to get another vendor so they could have work done without paying me. ESI called me, found out the customers were not in good standing and referred them right back to me.

I give them a big thumbs up for this policy.

As far as the work itself goes it is becoming more and more common for the computer vendor to try and do phone work as well... which is all fine and good as long as they have been trained know what they are doing. The problem comes when the computer vendor is billing them for working on their phone but doesn't know what / how to do the work and comes to an internet forum to try and learn on the fly.

It makes no sense to me... why pay a computer vendor to work on phones... when the phone vendor is comparable in price but has been trained... it makes a little more sense if it is an in house employee.

A mistake in line programming could literally leave the caller with no incoming or outgoing calls and should be done by a qualified tech.

Some clients always just try to dodge a bullet sometimes. I guess it goes both ways though. There are some business' that are just not so good.
