We have Axxess 8.232
We have a mix of Executone, Eclipse and IP (8662) Phones. The clock on the IP phones 'lose time' through out the day. They 'catch up' at noon each day and then continue to lose time again. The phone servers are set to get their time from the same place our network servers do. But you can look at the IP Phone displays and they will show 11:54, while all the other phones and the PC's show 11:59. Then at 12:00 they all say the same time. It is very strange.
Any Ideas?
PS. The cards for the IP Phones are in the same cabinets as cards for the excutone and exclipse phones - running off the same servers and nodes.

Look and see when the clock on the server is set to syncronize. It sounds like the IP Phones are set to get their time from the server, whereas the other phones get their time from a manual set at the cabinet.

This was a BIG problem with some Dell computers awhile back. The computer couldn't keep time for anything. It would lose more and more time over the course of a week or so and then catch up. What was happening at the catch up time was Windows would re-sync with the nist.gov or time.windows.com online.

The fix for the problem required a Flash as I recall.

As a test, why not reset the time on the phone server and see if the clocks on the IP Phones change. If so, then you'll know that's where they are getting their time and you can go from there.
