I have a customer with 2 merlin magix systems on campus. They would like to tie them together. Could I install t1 cards in each and use 2 patton 2115's connected via overhead and underground copper pair to connect??? Any other equipment needed???? Thanks.

Actually, from a programmer's point of view, this is a fairly easy task. Just make sure that you use a "CLEAR CHANNEL" T1 between them, and then set one Magix up to be "Legend Network" and the other to be "Legend PBX". Of course there's a bit more to it than that, but not much.

As a continuation of this topic, if I have 2 pairs of underground/aerial available can I connect the 100 DCD cards together without the Patton extender? Cable length is around 300feet. Looks like the Patton units are about $400 each....

300 feet is not very far at all, I would certainly try connecting directly first. Just roll Transmit and Receive at one end.

I've put a 100 DCD card in slot 5, with nothing connected to it. the red light on top is on. When I try to administer the card as Merlin-ntwrk, it does not accept it. I'm using Winspm9. What's wrong??

I got it. I had to program the LS/GS/DS1 area as PRI first....
