Hi,

I wanted to know if its possible to restore all the keys and software version by myself? I could not login to the server and booted in safe mode, I than clicked reboot with restore to factory default. Now all my keys are gone and also the software version.

I don't have a dealer since this unit came to us from an auction. I don't mid working with a dealer but would like to know if I can get this working today.
Thanks,

Does it have the Micro SD card installed?
Your probably going to need a dealer to get Allworx to recertify the 6x for you.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes It does have the SD card.
All I did was login under safe mode and I clicked reset to factory default. I guess I deleted the SD card??

Depending on what SW you are running, there is an option under maintenance... "Load keys from Internet" or something like that.

rustynails...that works if your a dealer and have the keys in your account for the switch :-), Other than that he's going to have to get ahold of Allworx or a dealer and get the switch upgraded and reloaded. Sorry to say you kinda "zigged when you should have zagged"

Once authorization codes have been converted to key codes and associated with the mac address of the server, they are there forever; unless Allworx pulls them for whatever reason. If you truly defaulted a system you must configure the unit to reach the internet, then go to maintenance > software keys > and select "install" from internet. Again, this may be a bit different depending on S/W level, but has been relatively the same for the past year or two.

That said, defaulting the system w/o a system image backup can be risky. And yes, unfortunately, only dealers have the software to create system images. A system image should always be performed before defaults and upgrades.
