In all the Nortel systems I've done over the years, they have a pair on the output block for auxillary ringing. If a set or a line is programmed for 'aux ring = Yes' then the system makes the contacts close and open like a switch. Its basically a contact closure used to operate an external device.
In the 1100, I could use an analog port for line voltage ringing, but what about a device that is looking for contact closures?
Thanks. Jim

Was looking for the relay stuff. Didn't think to look under Paging. Thanks.
UNA will be helpful too.

Another update:
I can make the relay contacts close by using program 10-61, though they are closed for the entire time of the incoming ring. It would be nice if they followed the ring cadence, but no luck. But it's a moot point anyway because of the Ring Over Page.
Ring Over Page, 31-05, set on a line by line basis with day and night settings, will put a ring tone over the external paging horns. With this, I don't need the relay contact closure to operate any external device.
Another bit of info I found (that I won't need now) while researching this: On my Bogen TPU-35A page amp, under the Night Ringer heading in the manual, it says "To produce a pulse tone where the telephone system does not have this provision, it is necessary to remove the cover and remove the jumper located at J1 on the auxiliary printed circuit board."
