I followed a user guide provided here to get a mobile extension working. However, the cell phone only rings after the local extension has gone to voicemail. Any idea why it would do that?

Update: I increased the time in 24-02-03 from 15 to 40 and now the cell will ring before the extension goes to voicemail. However, it seems that is an awefully long time for the system to dial the cell phone. I counted about 20 rings the caller will have to listen to before the cell will pick up.

On lines that have Forward All Calls to a cell phone, it doesn't take that long to dial out. Is this because it is dialing the extension, passing it to the speedial which then dials the cell#?
Or is there another setting somewhere for dialing out that needs to be modified?

@brokeda - I will check that out, thanks.

Are you using ARS or F-route tables? Do you have a PRI?

If this is not a PRI or SIP trunks, it does not work well.

It works well on the BRI system we have. It delays for few seconds, but not 20 rings, it is terrible.
I am not sure why the local extension goes to VM?
