my customer has an STS with exp cabinet. he has a co and sta card in the exp cab. i went to add some extensions and the last 3 ports on the card are dead. the funny part is the icm numbers that dont come up are 127, 128 and 131. i dont understand why it isnt 129 130 and 131. the 25 pair is punched down correct. anyone seen anything like this. no programing has been done to change the icm numbers and until yesterday the only one that had been used on the card was 124.

If the cable is seated correctly in the STS jack, then it is possible the connectorized end of the 25 pair is miss-wired.

Check the flash 52 programming and make sure the extension numbers have not been flexed. You might also reset the card in the slot.

Since you didn't mention which slot for the station card is being used in the expansion cabinet, one thing came to mind:
The last four ports on the STS/STSe did not provide any tones or other audio by design. A phone connected to them would come up functional, but couldn't be used to make or receive calls.
I didn't like this, however I was told that it was because they expected them to be used for non-phone purposes, such as DSS consoles or virtual station applications. Is it possible that you are using the last four physical ports (144-147)?
