While connected to the 5400's db, a loss of Ethernet connection knocked me off. Now, I cannot reconnect. Is there a way to recover with out reseting the switch? I have made a number of unsaved programming changes and do not wish to loose them.
Thanks.

Well, it seems I received my own answer - after about 20 minutes, the switch left me back in!
Regards.

Unfortunately this is common, the 5000 will keep that socket open for 15 minutes if loss of connection occurs. I have had a couple of instances where it stayed open indefinitely and I had to reboot the chassis.
