First off I’m not a Nortel guy been installing Comdial/Vertical for over 15 years every now and then I have had to try and do some minor programming on them. With that said I had a customer contact me and ask if I could add voicemail to his system and answer some questions for another company that will be installing IVR for the company. The vendor that did the original install has retired and will no longer give him any support and he asked if I could help, I know what you are saying don’t do it! I feel the same way but I hate to replace good working equipment just because it’s not what I normally support. I found a compatibility chart for voice mails and best I can tell it’s not supported and I find that hard to believe and I was also wondering if this system has any analog ports by default? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The system
NNTM0409NBHY MFG 970417
NT7B58AA-93 rel 01E
NA-CICS-DR 1.0 (NT7B56)
Has 2 cards in it NT7B75GA-93, NT7B75GB-93 I think these are 4 port line cards?
Thanks

As much as you hate to do it, replace it!! There's no point in adding discontinued (late 90's) Startalk Flash 1.44 or higher to a discontinued (2009) Norstar CICS system - which is compatible with the original release 1.0 software. The Trunk cards are 4 port non-caller id cards. I don't recall if the on-board ATA was included with this system or if it came later, but you can add ATA2's for analog station ports. By the time you add what you need & figure out how to program it, you'll be billing out double what a new system would probably have gone for.

Works best if you just ask the question.
i.e.
"I found a compatibility chart for voice mails and best I can tell it’s not supported and I find that hard to believe and I was also wondering if this system has any analog ports by default? Any help would be greatly appreciated."

What are you referring too that's not supported? voice mail in general?

You can add any used Startalk Flash with 1.44
or (recommended)
Upgrade the CICS to 7.1 and add a Callpilot voice mail.
