I am trying to network 2 systems via SPNET. I have set everything according to the special programming manual, but when I dial one of the other site's extensions, it goes busy. I am trying to use 3 digit extensiona, I have 200-225 in one site and 400-405 in the other. I set up 2 entries in my numbering plan 20 and 21 (I am at the site that has the 40X extensions. and both of those are supposed to go out to the other site. Now my IT person may be missing some port forwarding stuff, so that could be my problem, my question is what I could be missing can someone give me a better guide for SPNET that the gibbersih that the Samsung manual is, and is there a tool on the Samsung that allows me to watch calls being sent out, like the voicemail has?

Sounds like you have your site id's mixed up in NLCR translation.
The SMDR will show you calls in/out, you just enable it and connect to the port on the mp card.
If you get stuck you can send me the db backup's and i will take a look.

I set up SMDR and watched as I dialed the other site, the call comes thorough, with the right sys id (002) the call however, gets silence for 3 seconds then "no user response" comes up on the screen...so close, its a MGI issue, now,SPNET seems to work as calls are rung to the phones on either site, but the user picks up and gets a busy and the other user gets a "no user response.

You don't have a MGI problem. You have a signalling issue between the 2 systems still.
Check your port forwards at the end you are calling from.
"No user response" indicates the MP cards can't communicate with each other.
The fact the remote end rings but gets busy, but the calling end gets "no user response" indicates that your programming for the lcr is correct but the remote system can't send the signal to say the call has been answered to the local system.
What system type and version are these systems?

I fixed it by perusing these forums some more.
Beacuse we were using a VPN connection, I needed to set the IP in MMC838. Now maybe I overlooked it, but that was nowhere to be found in the manuals...
Nameless, I wanted to thank you for all of your advice on these forums. If possible, can you explain why MMC838 needs to be used in a private network? Samsung programming/design is so convoluted.
