We are getting a high pitch squeal, or other disty noises when talking on certain ports on the 700 ( on certain phones ).I changed out the wiring, the CO card, and soon to replace the 16 port digital card.

We also tested the Verizon trunks and they seem to be clean. I was told to put a DSL filter on the Verizon lines in hopes that might help. No changes.

Has anyone seen this? They did not have this issue on the Comdial system we took out.

Thanks,
Chaz

could be anything. i have had a faulty ADSL filter which was causing a high pitched noise when you went to hang up.

We changed everything twice, all internal cabling etc . Went on for weeks.

Was just out of luck that the internet was down when we arrived onsite on day . swapped the filter, never had the noise again.

May not even be anything in the system thats causing it !
