We have four PRI's at our location.
Is it possible for the provider to change the order for the hunt group for when calls are routed to our PRI for example:
Span 1
Span 2
Span 3
Span 4

Say we have issues on Span 2(or PRI 2)
Can we have them move that to the end of the hunt group or is that something that is done on our end routing top to bottom or bottom to top

Inbound routing is usually done by your provider. Outbound by your PBX.

Generally, what Helpifican wrote is correct. In some switches, the individual PRI circuit or channel by channel can be busied out and the usual response from the provider would be to alter the hunt order.

PBX switches are usually a lot more accommodating to doing this.

Inbound provider, outbound PBX. That being said each PRI should have it's own D channel if not I would get that changed. You can have a single D channel for all circuits but that is a terrible way to do that. All your PRI's should be in a single trunk group assuming one carrier if not you have to have number fail over.

Yeah we have one carrier. So if we have 4 PRI cards we want to make sure our carrier gives us 4 D channels? and not just 1

per tech they provide the hunt group pertaining to open B channels on incoming calls they call it overflow, they start at the bottom of the first D channel (chan 23) and go up but if all the channels on that circuit are busy it overflows to the second PRI and starts form the bottom up, then the 3rd, then the 4th
