I hope that I haven't lost my mind yet. An existing XTS with two cabinets (MPB2) won't allow me to add any more IP phones. It is currently set for 05/00 in flash 46 for the station/trunk count. The total number of stations in service on the system (including voice mail ports) is only 77 stations. I want to increase the number of IP stations to 12, but it's not happening. It won't even let me add one more station.

Oh, and the VOIP card is a 24 port one. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

It turns out that this was a time slot issue. It's important to remember that the main cabinet has a maximum of 136 time slots. In the current configuration, we had 48 used for digital stations, 48 for IP channels, 23 for PRI channels and 12 for voice mail ports, which equalled 131 time slots. This is why it would only allow 5 IP phones (they take away from time slots in addition to the IP channels). That's what was throwing me.

By moving the voice mail card into the expansion cabinet, this will free up 12 time slots in the main cabinet, allowing me to add 12 more IP phones, which should be more than enough. While I'm going through this trouble, I'm going to reserve a few slots for additional DT24 card slots in the expansion cabinet since they are maxed out on digital stations too. No sense in going through this exercise twice.
