Hello, We are in the process of installing our first Speco PBM120AU Tuner Amplifier. The manual is not very specific about a couple items we are having problems with.
First, there is no audio output on the Music on Hold output. I have adjusted the volume on the back with no luck. Also, the manual does not specify what audio will be played over this MOH port either. This amplifier has the AM-FM-CD-SD-USB module. I Would like to know if the audio would be the same as what is being output to the rest of the amplifier or can one of the other options be used separately for the MOH.
Second, the telephone page output seems Very low even when the rear volume has been adjusted up all the way. The muting does work but the pages are very low.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thank You!

I looked at the manual and it does seem complete although you are right in that it does not address these questions. It's normally assumed with most of these amps that the MOH output is the same program material as the amp is providing to the speakers. If there is no signal on the output I would suspect a problem with the unit. But before you jump to that conclusion have you checked it with a small speaker directly connected to the 8 ohm terminals or with a butt set?

As for the page input, if the phone system page is low you night want to try using the Mic1 input instead and activate priority paging for that input. Wire an XLR plug hot to pin 2, shield to 1&3.

Thanks for the suggestions Hal!
Yes I did check the MOH output with my butt set and I get nothing. I did assume that the MOH would output the same as the amp but I was hoping otherwise. I guess that would make too much sense!
I will try the Mic 1 input to see if that helps!
Thanks again!

The mic input will definitely do the trick because it's a low level input. As for the MOH output, I would give the manufacturer tech support a call. Maybe we are missing something that isn't in the manual. I really wouldn't like the MOH to also carry the pages so maybe there is more to it.
