I have a client that has a ESI 200 with about 50 phones. The system was installed a little over 5 years ago. The ASC card with storage device was installed a little over 4 years ago. The system has the current software.

About six weeks ago, while listening to the recorded calls, there is part of the recording missing on the call we listen to.

Example: If I do a test recording like this, "testing, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15"

Then listen to the recording, I hear "testing, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, 12.13,14,15.

8,9,10,11 are not in the recording?

Have been around the block a half of dozen times with ESI and nothing they do seems to work. Next step is to start replacing hardware, going to try the ASC hard drive, then the ASC card, then lastly if that does not work ESI is suggesting we replace the main hard drive.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

Haven't run into it myself. If I had to guess like you seem to have been forced into doing, I would start with the ASC drive as well.

It's the ASC hard drive. I am AMAZED ESI techs didn't tell you this immediately. It's a well know problem.

I am surprised also, especially since I was speaking with Dave Whitmer. Tech going there Wednesday, will get back to you on the results.

We replaced the hard drive and ASC card. Reason is ESI only carries the new style hard drives, rather than the old pin, ribbon connector type. All is well now. Thanks for the feedback.
