Just wanted some opinions on ESI easy link. We have two cabinets we are looking at linking together. Any known issues or tricks to programming them. Thanks

Pretty straight forward. You will need to make you have the proper IP card and licensing and of course from proper port forwarding in you router/firewall.

Does the setup half to be done from the interface or can it all be done at the extension to set the card up? I will look in the book to find out what ports need to be open in the firewall and just assign a static to each cabinet outside of the DHCP server at both locations.

You can do the programming through the phone if you'd like. As far as the licensing and stuff you would need to call ESI to load it with the proper licensing.
And yes you will need to statically assign an IP to the IP card.
