I acquired an os7200 s/w 4.40 is the s/w upgradeable with out changing the processor? It also had an 8 trk 2 in it and the lines are staticky. Is that a direct result of the lower s/w release?
Thank you all as always

If its a MCP processor the highest you can go is 4.46d. If its a MP20 or MP20s then you can run the latest vesion which is 5.01 over here.

Can you test the lines with a butt phone? We dont do many analogue lines on systems over here but the few times ive used its been ok just quiet compared with SIP/ISDN.

It Is an MCP the lines test clean. I put a known good trunk card in. Still static. I moved the card to another slot reprogrammed the static is gone. I guess the slot in the cabinet is bad.
Thanks
