On a Partner ACS 5.0 with Partner Messaging R1. One particular extension keeps it's message waiting light on and can't seem to be turned off. Basic trouble shooting has been done: power down, reintialized the mb.... have been done. Any suggestions on how to turn it off? Reinitialize the voicemail?

Go off hook and press Feature 10 and the station number and see if the light goes off. Let us know what happens.

Is is perhaps Ext. 10? The new Partner Messaging R1 has General Mailboxes of 9991, 9992, 9993, and 9994 for Auto Attendant 1, 2, 3, and 4. The Night "Dial 0/Timeout" option is to record a message in the General Mailbox for that particular Auto Attendant, and Ext. 10 is the General Mailbox "owner", and gets it's message LED lit until those messages have been heard.

Thanks for the off of help. Feature 10 had already been tried. And the extension isn't extension 10. I think defaulting may be in order. Great site though!

have you gone into admin mode and checked to see what the extension is that is owned by the general mb? I would go thru all the general mb's to see who owns them.
Hope this helps....

After you reinitialized the MB, did you send a message to the MB and then delete it? If so, then the problem is not with the voice mail. Perhaps another extension has signaled you. From ext. 10, dial the Feature 10 code followed by the extension you are having problems with. If this does not turn out the light, you might have a bad port. If it is a 206 or 308 module, try swapping it for another.

Thanks, that was the planned course of action to take, though the VS wasn't reset yet. It was the course to be followed though. Thanks again.

Z-man is right. Its not the voicemail if feature 10 from ext 10 can't shut it off. Try (#10 ext) from your butt-set from any port.
