A customer has 4 line at@t telephones. They are new. One of them clicks: not from the handset, but, the phone starts clicking when its just sitting there. I guess its from the speaker. It didn't do it when I was there. The old phone at this station did the same thing. They have several of these phones and this is the only one that clicks. It is plugged into a long power strip with several other things plugged in. Nothing large like a microwave oven. Anyone have an idea on this? Thanks. Dave.

So, it appears that customer has some at&t NoKSU telephones and two different units, when plugged in/connected at a certain location, intermittently click. The units are powered by a power strip. None of the other positions have this problem.
If the customer unplugs the line cord from the wall jack(s) when the phone starts to click, does it stop? If so, I would suspect a wiring problem. Remember that all of the phones need to be wired after a DSL filter (when applicable).
If it doesn't stop, could the customer, temporarily, run an extension cord and power the position from another circuit? I suppose something like a paper shredder could cause problems for a telephone set.

Is it connected with long, flat, line cords? These had problems with longer than 7' silver-satin line cords, anything longer than that needed to be twisted pair line cords.

One more wrinkle...be sure that the phones in question are designed to be used with the others. By this I mean that...say...the AT&T model 944 and 955 units cannot be paired with the current at&t 10-Series models.
