i recently got a new fluke ts52 pro buttset. on somelines it registers voltage but when i turn it on no dialtone and it says lockout. my other buttset, non display does get dial tone on the same line. does anyone have any idea whats going no here. thanks dave

when it says lockout does hitting override get you DT ?

Per User Guide available at:

Connect the unit to Tip and Ring and move the T/M switch to T. If high speed data is present, a warning beep sounds, the test set will lockout, will not go off-hook, and the display shows LOCKOUT. If there is no high speed data, the unit will go off-hook. If the test set is locked out and you are certain that you want to go off-hook, press the OVERRIDE key.

one line did have dsl and the onther one didnt. i didnt try the tm switch or overide. gotta remember that. and thanks for the link also. dave
