I'm setting up a company where my clients can post adverts of themselves on a phone directory. Nothing fancy, I just want people who call in to be able to listen, skip and repeat the ad's - and obviously be able to record their own messages once they have been permitted to do so.

Not sure what this type of system is called or how much it costs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at [email protected] with your help.

Sounds like an Info. mailbox would do the job.
Most Voicemail systems allow you to create Information mailbox's which can be changed by anyone that has the password to that mailbox.
You can record and change the message whenever you need to.

Thanks, any idea how much this will cost? can I rent the line or must I purchase the system? Do you know of any companies in the UK that provide this service?

This would be an in house voicemail, Someone
out there may know of something less expensive, but most any Business Phone System
Vendor in the UK should be able to set you up with this.
