Netgear has several ethernet switches that provide POE, including some small ones like you might use in your home office (8 port switch, can do 4 ports POE. FS108P)

Just put in a Cisco wireless Acess Point. Installed a power injector from Cisco, for power over ethernet. It put power on pins 1 and 6.

Good Luck!!

For standalone, I've used small D-Link power injectors (DWL-P50) to power IP cameras. Camera was an Axis 211 (nice, but pricey). The D-Link units worked flawlessly, and are low-cost.

For larger projects, using powered switches, we use HP Procurves.
