In the past I was able to create mdn groups with no problem. However now that I try to go into MDN Groups, i get an error that reads:

Invalid entry = 699, varname = mdn_pbx_dn_st_or_map_log

how do I create an MDN group with this error coming up every time.

Is this in e-manger or pcp. Is it when you try to create the group or when you goto that part of programing.

Quick Respons:
Sounds like you need to re-instal the software on your PC.

This is in Emanager. It is when I try to create it, by going into MDN Groups right above Hunt groups.
Is there a different way of imputting it on Emanager. I want to create an MDN with an analog line.

It happens when you click on MDN GROUPS with your mouse.

Then Re-Install, There should be no problem going into that window. You can try an open another CFG, and try to goto MDN GROUPS.

Or is when you try to put in the DN, in MDN GROUPS.
If you want E-mail me the CFG and I see if it works in my e-manger.

I will reinstall it on a different PC and try bringing it up there. I will let you know if it changed anything.
By the way I get the error message when I go to
Station group features
MDN Groups

Invalid Vector Operationemanger

Invalid Entry
VarCode=699, VarName=MDN-pbx_dn_st_or_map_logp

I was not sure if I might have somehow disabled myself from configuring MDN groups.
Anyways, i will test it out on a differnt pc and let you know if I had any luck

I reinstalled a later version of Emanager on my pc and just turned it on, and when I went into MDN groups, I got the same error message again. It does it with older Emanager software and newer one also. I can not even go into MDN groups offline as I get the same error message.

Did you try a diffrent CFG? What version of e-manger?
Posted By: commo23 Re: MDN Group - 07/17/07 02:11 PM
Older Version
The emanager version 1.16.0.6
The emanCom version 1.12.0.1
Unite Gateway API version 1.0.0.3

Newer Version
The emanager version 3.1.0.4
The emanCom version 1.14.0.8
Unite Gateway API version 1.0.0.4

I created a backup with different CFG and I had no luck. I am still getting the error message.

However, if I close out cfg file and go to new one it works (offline). Is there a way to fix this?

If you try a diffrent CFG and it works fine you probably have a bad CFG file. I see you try to back-up as a diffrent file name and deleted the old file. since the back-up is bad you need to re-program the system from default.
If this is an IPEX or MPD2 I would do this after hours. If it's a 8/18 or 128 MPD do it on one from your stock and just switch them out.

Re program off-line then default the MPD or IPEX card. then do a full system download.

That sucks.

I would also try getting the latest E-manger. I'm at 3.1.0.6

I created a backup cfg with a different file name and I ran into the same problem.
If I re-program the system from default, that would lose personal speed dials, forwarding lines, etc...?
If the file is corrupted there is no way to fix it either?

You to fast for me. I edited my post look above again.

And On fixxing the cfg, No way to fix it to my knowledge. and yes you will lose all the personal speed dials mad

E-mail me the cfg, I will try it on my e-manger. or try upgrading the e-manger before going through all that hassel.

One time I had trouble reprograming a modm and it was a problem with th e-manger. They fixed it in the lastest version. You never know. Maybe this was a problem too.

I am just wondering if I re create it and copy everything, do I have to walk around to every phone and cfna to voice mail, have everyone reprogram their phone with personal speed dials, reprogram all call forwards, etc..? is it something I have to do all over again for every phone?

Look above Again, I edit again. You can CFNA, and do memory keys right from the e-manger. Personal Speed dials they would have to put in.

This was my problem, I had to move my ocd to another slot because I put the TVSE card in. Then when I transfer the unit over they went over fine. when I deleted the Modem to put it on the MPD2 card it wouldn't let me. The problem turned out to be that the modem I couldn't program when an OCD was programed in that slot. Had to move the OCD to another slot and then I could reprogram the Modem in the MPD2 card.

So look at the last thing you did in programing and try to reveres it. Maybe that will work for you.

Erik
You still have Rel 7 right? Try backing up with 7.33b PCP (Dos) and see if you can add the MDN.
