My system is a CTX100 with caller-id on every screen phone. I know that each phone stores the caller-id information on every call that is answered on that particular phone. Is there any way for every phone to store the caller-id of every call?
Someone once told me that there is a way to make one phone store the information of every call. If I cannot do this with every phone, how can I do it for one phone?
I may be wrong about this but I believe the phone only stores the caller ID info of a call that is "ringing" at that station. So make one phone ring on every call. There is also a limit to how many calls it can store and that is programmed in Station>Assignments>DKT tab. Call History Memory FB17 I think, max is 100. Make sure and put a CLID button on the phone too or this is all for nothin.
You can make one phone store all calls for caller ID , all you have to do is assign an ext. as the owner of each line. All other phones will only store calls that ring that station.
You can adjust the CID history on a per phone basis in 10 or 20 block increments.
i.e. - ext 200 can store 20, ext 201 can store 60, etc.
Each extension can store a maximum of 100 calls, up to the system limit on memory locations.
Assign an extension as the caller ID history location.
If all else fails you can assign all incoming calls to ring an available analog port with an off the shelf CLID installed.
smithdj - FYI that will only work with the new Analog Station card; BSTCIU
Some of the new cards, like the BCOCIU, only work with the new prcessors with 4.XX or higher software. I did not look up the BSTCIU card, nor have I installed any of them.
