Hey all, I have a client that has a CTX100 at the main location and an ESI at the other. Their provider has signed them up with a service called One Pac. Provider told client that they can transfer and intercom between the two systems via this T-1.

The provider states the following: Station-to-Station Dialing-
Allows your employees to dial each other in two to six digits. If you are calling from a single location or to multiple locations, on our network, there are no additional charges.

I've never heard of interfacing a Toshiba with an ESI before. Sounds more like DID's with 2500 sets to me. A Centrex on steroids?

Any comments/help would be appreciated, not getting much from provider sales folks which is a little Surprising, it's a great company.

Thanks in advance!

I had a customer that has XO Communications. They had POTS lines in a hunt to their 6 line system. Supposedly the CO lines were setup that when you went off hook and dialed the last four digits of the CO lines at the other location they would ring. Sounds like similar service on this T-1 since theoretically you can access each channel on it.

That very well could be the case. They have the same line package at both ends so it would be like going through the same exchange.

The problem that I am try to find an answer for is, can they intercom from on set to another using the existing extension numbers, I cant see how they could do it. The sales guy for the provider told them that they can.

I think they are in trouble on that one.
