I would think this might be a common question / problem in here.

I had a customer call yesterday with a Siemens Hicom 150 System (OfficePoint).

The office manager had defaulted the system and it went back to scratch, including German Language.

I wouldn't normally maintain a Siemens System, but our compant was the only company she contacted that offered to help her out. (Past vendor out of business) Soooooo..... the typical questions:

How do I find manuals and any information/software on programming the system?

I did find some limited information on programming the sets:

https://wwwhephy.oeaw.ac.at/telefon1/en/h150/mem/30/ba/01/index.htm

https://wwwhephy.oeaw.ac.at/telefon/index.htm

They have about 10 Optiset E telephones and they have voice mail as well.

Any information would be a huge help to them and to me.

Thanks!

Good luck, if she defaulted the switch the kds(database) is lost hopefully you have a backup. It's not easy initializing the system you have to setup language, baud rate date and time from the first port of the switch which if defaulted is extension 100. And without the system password you cannot do any of that. Too bad your not close to Philly.

Thanks. The original vendor finally got back to them and did have the kds.

The vendor is on Long Island and pretty far away and the customer would prefer to use us as the vendor in the future. (I happen to live down the street)

I assume the password is the default password - until or unless they changed it.

Let me know if you might be available to assist in the future with remote programming / tech support.

Thanks!
